As we begin the new school year, Winsor welcomes many new faculty and staff members to the community.
This year, seven new faculty and staff have joined Winsor, spread across departments from physical education to visual arts to accounting.
One of these new staff members is Ms. Sjoblom, Winsor’s bookstore and accounting associate. Ms. Sjoblom has approached her first year at Winsor with enthusiasm, remarking: “Adapting to the environment of Winsor has been exciting and fast paced!” and that she is enjoying being surrounded by such unique people and is continuing to learn about our students and traditions! Change can be difficult, but as Ms. Sjoblom says, it is thrilling to navigate a new environment.
There has also been an addition to the visual arts department, and that is Ms. Davenport! She teaches AP Art, Advanced Portfolio, Class III Sculpture, and Class II Art. She also gave some insight on the highs and lows of navigating Winsor. She said that she’s “still settling into a routine and often [finding herself] a bit disoriented [when] looking for room numbers or supplies.” but that she’s “excited about supporting students in their creative process.” Overall, she is ready to tackle the new challenges she’ll face this year and is glad for all the support by the Winsor community.
Just like new students, there have been many new faculty and staff this year and we hope to welcome them all into our community with open arms. We cannot wait to see what they accomplish in the rest of their tenure at Winsor. Again, congratulations to all the new faculty and staff! Welcome to the Wildcat Community!
