Hello Kitty Ramen – ⅕ stars by Natalie

A huge fan of spice and Sanrio, I was immediately drawn to A-Sha Noodles’ Hello Kitty Spicy Noodle Soup when I spied it at Urban Outfitters. The front of the cup juxtaposed images of hellish flaming peppers surrounding poor Hello Kitty and promises of heavenly flavors within. However, when I finally got around to trying the ramen a few weeks later, I felt betrayed and heartbroken by the letdown. Inside lay a singular, simple “flavor” packet that was barely orange, much less red hot. They say don’t judge a book by its cover, but in this case, the noodles were as bland as they looked.
