Well, it’s that time of year again— spooky season! October is the month of spiders, skeletons, ghosts, and most importantly, pumpkin-flavored foods. And who else does pumpkin-flavored foods better than the one and only Trader Joe’s? Now, this article is not a repeat from last year because we’ve realized that Trader Joe’s comes out with BRAND NEW pumpkin treats EVERY spooky season. Let’s get into the review!
Pumpkin Spiced Sandwich Cookies: 9/10. Beautiful creation. Nice sea salt bits as well. Definitely give these a try.
Pumpkin Blondie Brownies: 8/10. These are pretty good. They have a nice moist texture, but there’s something a little off about the flavor—perhaps not the correct concoction of spices.
Non-Dairy Pumpkin Oat Beverage (??): 4/10. Low rating almost completely because of this drink’s insane name. Non Dairy Pumpkin Oat Beverage?? Who in their right mind would call any kind of drink a “beverage”? That word has such a nefarious and ominous vibe to it. Perhaps too heavy on the spooky in spooky season, Trader Joe’s. Also, this beverage tastes like soap.
Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread: 10/10. YUMMY!! As a fan of strawberry cream cheese, I thought this spread was perfect. I love pumpkin, I love bagels, and I love sweet(ish) cream cheese. This was a win.
Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese: 8.5/10. This was surprisingly good? This mac and cheese was creamy and the rigatoni was perfect. It’s not super sweet, which is what I expected. Go get this – it’s a treat.
